From Waste to Energy

The Sanciflex processes converts approximately 60% of the total Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) stream into a clean, uncontaminated organic material “biomass”. After a simple physical separation of the total MSW waste stream through trommel screening and air separation process, this organic material may be utilized in several ways.

The Sanciflex Facilities produces energy “briquettes” from the organic material for the global renewable energy market. The “briquettes” when combusted, have a documented high calorific value and are used to  produce thermal energy in energy power plants globally, while expelling very low emissions during the generation of  electricity. These “briquettes’ are non-toxic and free of approximately 98% of all heavy metals and plastics.
An alternative use of the organic material is as raw material or “feedstock” for biogas and other ‘green’ energy sources. If required, a biogas facility can be integrated into the Sanciflex Facility to drive the facility heat and steam boilers. The surplus can drive a steam turbine or a reciprocating engine to generate ‘green’ electricity to run the process facility or to provide electricity for the local grid.
Organic Material Facts

Approximately 60% of the Municipal Solid Waste consists of organic material.
The organic material is estimated to provide about 400m3biogas per ton material.
The energy that remains in biogas has an energy value of approx. 5-8 kWh/Nm3 (normal cubic meters), depending on methane content of the biogas. Normal cubic meter is a standard unit that corresponds to 1 m3 gas with 1.01 bar pressure and 0°C temperature. The energy value for upgraded biogas is the same as natural gas which is up to 11 kWh /Nm3.
The total potential of energy: 400m3 * 8 kWh/Nm3 = ca. 3,200 kWh per ton MSW
